Joined S.O.M.A. 23rd Septmber 1997.

In November 1996, he became the British W.U.M.A. National Heavyweight Champion.

In 1987 commenced training under the instruction of Alvin Mighty, then 3 times W.A.K.O. World Champion.

In 1994 Leroy was placed 2nd in the W.A.K.O. Nationals.

Based on previous success of National Competitions, in 1993 he tried his first venture into British W.A.K.O. Full Contact Competitions - Placed 2nd at 85Kg.

In 1993 he took and passed Black Belt Grading under World Martial Arts Association Standards - W.U.M.A.

In 1992 he defended and kept the W.U.M.A. National Junior Championships at 80Kg.

In 1991 he won First British National - Full Contact - Junior Championships at 80Kg, under United Martial Arts Association Rules.
